The ratings system had just come out and Midnight Cowboy received a "dreaded" X rating. Far be it from Oklahoma to allow anything with an X rating to cross its borders. I have seen Midnight Cowboy many times but never on a big screen. Now could be the time. Hey folks, vote for Midnight Cowboy! When Midnight Cowboy was released, I lived in Oklahoma City.
